76/62 VT-RF

The distance detection is based in the Doppler Effect. The fuze emits an electromagnetic wave in an specific frequency, which when  reflected  by the target comes back with a different frequency, due to the relative speed between both. The difference of frequency is used by the fuze to discriminate between the wave that it emits and the wave received from the reflection on the target. The received wave frequency increases as the fuze is get close to the target, and this level is used to determine the distance.

This fuze operates in  frequency band UHF, with impact and proximity functions for 76/62 caliber.

This battery can only be activated by the inertial and centrifugal forces transmitted during the shooting.
