Naval fuze of microwaves with multicaliber electronic head, capable to operate in the radio-electric surroundings more adverses, as produced by F-100 frigates which includes SPY-1D radars. This fuze also includes impact and proximity functions.

  • Proximity function:

With is high immunity to interference, this fuze can detect target of 0.5m2 RCS with high reliability. The use of modulation in frequency has advantages as:

  • Low dependence of the detonation distance, regarding the target radar signal.
  • High immunity of the fuze against interferences.

This new design has advantages regarding previous designs. Which are:

  • It incorporates MMIC, which offer more reliability, stability and integrated design. It generates a radiofrequency signal of high quality.
  • Implementation of filters and other microwaves passive elements in microstrip technology. It allows more robust and adaptable designs to the required operation.
  • Insolated antenna from the projectile’s body, which guarantee the operation of the fuze with independence of the caliber. Also it has a radiation diagram pre-established, but it can adapt other antenna’s designs to change the radiation diagram.


  • Impact function:

For this function, the fuze has different sensors, which have been tested successfully against the sea and steel sheets of 3 and 6mm.
By the paralyzer ring this function can be disabled or we can leave it with less sensibility.

-The power is provided by a lithium battery of high reliability, which is only activated when the projectile is shot. This module includes a circuit which prevents the supply of the fuze during the first 100 meters.
